Pelayos de la Presa Reimagined. In our concept, we embark on a mission to transform the historic monastery into vibrant spaces that transcend mere functionality, rooted in place-making and social interaction. Carefully crafting each corner into a welcoming, interactive environment fosters a sense of community indoors and outdoors.

The idea of our project revolves around cohabitation, bringing together people from diverse age groups and backgrounds, fostering healthy social environments, and integrating harmoniously with the surrounding environment and the post-industrial site. This site holds significant potential and presents unique challenges that we aim to address.

The concept revolves around the creation of a dedicated space for independent journalists and photo reporters, situated adjacent to the renowned Springer Publishing House in Berlin. The vision is to establish an open campus that celebrates and promotes free press, providing a platform for exchange, collaboration, and presentation.

Designing a tiny house for low-income and vulnerable individuals in a desert climate with limited resources is a challenging task. The house should have a courtyard to address the hot climate and protect against direct sunlight. Compressed rammed earth, an affordable and well-insulating material, will be used for construction. The ground floor will serve as a workshop for each family to work in.
